Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Perform Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our clients expanding food manufacturing facility in Drogheda. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading name in the chilled convenience food industry, delivering high-quality, ready-to-eat products to major retailers across Ireland and Europe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance operations, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring full compliance with food safety standards and retailer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with BRC standards, customer specifications, and relevant food legislation
  • Oversee and prepare for internal and external audits, including visits from EHOs and major retail clients
  • Ensure robust food safety systems, particularly for Ready-To-Eat (RTE) product lines
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related queries from retailers including Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, and Musgrave
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Technical, and NPD teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations
  • Promote a culture of proactive problem-solving and high-quality standards
  • Occasional travel within the UK and Europe for audits and technical meetings
