Job Brief We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking QA Manager to lead our QA team in building a next-generation, AI-augmented quality assurance function. This role demands deep expertise in both manual and automation testing, with a strong focus on AI-first strategies, AI-driven test design, and hands-on implementation of intelligent quality frameworks. You will be responsible for driving a quality culture across engineering teams while ensuring delivery of robust, secure, and high-performing applications. You will lead innovation in quality engineering by integrating machine learning, generative AI, and automation frameworks that continuously optimize the testing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Leadership Define and drive the AI-first Quality Engineering vision for the organization. Lead and mentor a high-performing QE team across manual, automation, and AI-based testing. Champion AI-augmented testing techniques to improve test coverage, speed, and reliability. Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams to align quality goals with business objectives. Testing Practice Ownership Oversee the execution of manual exploratory testing, test planning, and defect management. Architect and implement AI-driven test automation frameworks using modern tools and practices. Define standards for test data generation, environment management, and shift-left testing. Design strategies to automatically generate test cases, predict failure points, and optimize test execution using machine learning models and AI-based tools. AI & Intelligent Automation Lead the evaluation, adoption, and integration of AI-powered testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize, Diffblue). Build internal tools or pipelines that use generative AI (like ChatGPT, Copilot) for code analysis, test case creation, bug triage, and root cause analysis. Drive AI-assisted test prioritization, self-healing tests, and predictive quality analytics into the QA lifecycle. Framework & Architecture Design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, security, and regression testing. Ensure frameworks are cloud-native, CI/CD-friendly, and support distributed test execution. Define reusable component libraries with built-in AI decision logic and dynamic element handling. Metrics & Reporting Define and track key quality metrics: test coverage, defect leakage, flakiness, cycle time, etc. Leverage AI-based reporting and dashboards to visualize quality trends and risks. Implement intelligent defect clustering and test optimization strategies. Required Experience & Qualification: Technical Expertise 10+ years in software QA/QE, with 3+ years in QA leadership or management. Hands-on experience with manual testing, exploratory testing, and risk-based testing. Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript). Proficiency in test automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, REST Assured, etc. Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Deep understanding of AI concepts applied to testing: NLP, model training, AI test generation, anomaly detection. AI & ML in QA Experience with AI-augmented testing platforms (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Functionize, Diffblue, Katalon AI, TestSigma AI). Familiarity with LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for test case generation, documentation, bug reporting, etc. Ability to build or customize AI-assisted quality tools, agents, or bots. Leadership & Collaboration Strong leadership and mentorship skills; experience managing geographically distributed teams. Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience collaborating in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
