WORK MODEL: The successful candidate will be able to work 100% remotely within Canada. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding observed holidays.

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Performance Test Analyst with application testing and automation experience to supplement the QA Team, testing multiple integrated systems, including; SAP, COTS, custom in-house applications, MuleSoft API’s, and 3rd party integrations
Summary:
The QA Performance Test Analyst resource will support the development of test plan, creation or identification of test data, identification and setup of test tool, test scripting, test execution, and defect management for project work. In addition, the resource will work with other internal and external stakeholders throughout various test cycles. This individual will also work on other project related tasks as assigned by leadership and/or the Team Lead. To be effective in this role, the analyst must be familiar with BA documentation and processes. Other work items may include working with multiple resources and effective reporting of results and progress to the Team Lead.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Candidate will establish testing approaches to effectively measure test results and provide confirmation; ensure test cases reflect the scope of business requirements and development being delivered.

Independently lead the following activities and be able to lead a team to do the following activities:

• Lead, coach and project manage more junior solution testers.
• Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.

Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution.

• Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
• Gather and manage the test data.
• Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
• Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.
• Implement individual tests.
• Set up and execute the tests.
• Log outcomes and verify test execution.
• Analyze and recover from execution errors.
• Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
• Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
• Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
• Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum combined years of relevant education and experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (5+ years)
• Demonstrated experience working as a software tester in a software application development environment (details/description of environment must be included in resume) (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience writing test cases from use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Software QA, Testing and Defect Life Cycle (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in testing systems integrated via middleware platforms like MuleSoft (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in Performance test analysis, design, setup and execution (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and using Performance Test Tools (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience on custom scripting using Python, JavaScript, Groovy (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs via Postman (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience developing API test scripts in Postman (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in testing SAP applications and interfaces (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in JIRA and Azure DevOps (3+ years)
• Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks (3+ years)
• Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design specifications (3+ years)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing (4+ years)
• Demonstrated experience testing web applications (2+ years)
• Experience with data integrity standards (3+ years)
• Experience with SQL scripting and MS SQL Server (3+ years)
