Description:

The QA/QC Corporate Manager position involves developing and overseeing quality assurance and control systems across all construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contractual requirements. This role also includes conducting audits, managing inspections, and implementing corrective actions to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with construction industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific quality requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable construction regulations.
  • Oversee QA activities across all construction projects, including planning, audits, and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct project reviews to ensure proper implementation of quality standards and compliance with design and construction requirements.
  • Establish and manage inspection and testing programs for construction materials, structural components, and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review and approve quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
  • Ensure that all construction projects comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits, inspections, and certification processes.
  • Lead investigations into construction defects or quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure effective closure.
