Description

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring the Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems on construction sites. This role ensures that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The QA/QC Engineer works closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3–6+ years of relevant QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with international quality standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, ACI, etc.).
  • Experience in reviewing construction drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA/QC software

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and related QA/QC procedures.
  • Conduct inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with construction and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and non-conformities.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors on quality-related matters.
  • Ensure all incoming materials meet quality standards and are accompanied by required documentation (e.g., test certificates, compliance reports).
  • Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the QA/QC system and recommend improvements.
  • Lead internal quality audits and support external audits as required.
  • Provide technical support and training to site teams on QA/QC procedures and standards.
  • Ensure quality records are properly archived and easily retrievable for future reference or audits.
