OVERVIEW : The QA Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of quality for the plant, as well as ensuring that all Quality procedures are followed, and goals are met. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS : Supervises the systems that drive quality in the plant. Pre-Op Inspection: Verify that equipment, tables, and tools are cleaned, disassembled, and sanitized. Monitors the implementation of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs Establishes and integrates product standards (specs) including visual on the production floor. Supervise SPC data collection, process measurements, process analysis, reporting and recommendations for improvement. Maintain detailed records of pre-op inspections and any corrective actions taken to address failures. Monitors customer complaint evaluations and introduces problem solving solutions. Conducts plant employee training on quality principles and product scoring calibration. Identifies areas of opportunity to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Supervises the HACCP program and ensures compliance with the food safety/security programs. All other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS : Minimum 21 years of age. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have a minimum of one-year QA experience preferred Supervisory experience at least one-year. Food manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer and database application skills. Familiarity with manufacturing systems. Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skills. Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations. Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. Measuring: Gathers information about work activities and external conditions affecting the work and the team; monitors the progress and quality of the work; communicates results; and takes corrective action as needed. Continuous Improvement: "Thinks outside of the box"; holds self and others accountable for constantly improving the way things are done. Proven experience with common problem-solving tools.
