THE ROLE

Step into the role of QA Team Leader for Holland & Barrett’s Product Integrity department at our Burton Manufacturing site. You’ll oversee daily QA operations and lead two QA Technicians to maintain food-safety and quality standards across all shifts. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will manage checks—from foreign-body audits and traceability exercises to label verification, weight control and environmental monitoring—while ensuring audit readiness and contributing to continuous improvement. You’ll train and develop new technicians, collaborate with production and suppliers on non-conformances, and maintain accurate records. This permanent, full-time position offers a supportive setting where your expertise ensures product quality and customer confidence in a leading health retailer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coordinate daily QA checks and tasks across all shifts
  • Oversee foreign-body audits, traceability exercises, label and document verification, weight control and environmental monitoring
  • Act as the point of contact for on-shift QA issues, resolving or escalating as required
  • Ensure audit readiness by maintaining accurate records, addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
  • Deliver onboarding and technical training for new QA Technicians, providing regular feedback
  • Work with Production, Engineering and Technical teams to resolve quality issues and support improvements
  • Manage initial review and logging of supplier non-conformance reports, liaising on investigations and corrective measures
  • Promote food-safety and quality standards through daily engagement with the team and operational colleagues
Location: This role is based at our Distribution Centre in Burton. This role operates on a fixed shift basis — either AM (7am–3pm) or PM (2pm–10pm). Please indicate your preferred and available shift pattern when applying.
