Essential duties and Responsibilities: Inspect incoming purchase orders of all proteins for wholesomeness, quality and specification compliance. Inspect incoming food products as to correct size, packaging, dating and specs per our purchase order and verify the information in the inventory computer system. Correct and/or add missing information with buyer’s or QA manager’s approval. Complete a seafood quality control report on all incoming direct shipment seafood and maintain a file for review. Conduct a daily fresh poultry inventory and create daily push sheet for Sales Department and send via e-mail to responsible parties Review and generate weekly reports of fresh and frozen products, other than poultry, and create a push list for the sales department and management on aging product inventory to be sold. Review all aging product inventory for proper slotting and date rotation and report any problems to the Warehouse Manager and Management. Evaluate all returned product for quality and wholesomeness before returning to inventory and assess if the customer will receive credit for the returned product. Assist QA manager and other QC’s in their day-to-day responsibilities. Conduct a daily pre-operational inspection of the facility for HACCP compliance and maintain those records on file and notify all responsible parties on a day-to-day basis. Complete any required documentation necessary for federal compliance from established HACCP programs, on a day-to-day basis. All transfers to miscellaneous must be recorded daily in the QC network drive specific to your facility, with a complete reason for the transfer to miscellaneous. Responsibilities
