We are currently seeking a detail oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team! Recent graduates of the Nutrition, Food, and Animal sciences are encouraged to apply.
This position is critical to the ongoing and continued success of our day-to-day production operations. Only qualified individuals with the required skills will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Food science or Animal Science or related Sciences.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Food Manufacturing or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (word, excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, instruct, and lead Food Safe/HACCP/GMP related tool box meetings.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and address non-compliance related issues on the safety & quality of incoming raw materials
  • Identify and address non-compliance during various production stages and formulation such as; grinding, blending/mixing, stuffing etc. to improve product quality and reduce rework generation
  • Perform color analysis using the colorimeter
  • Perform finished product quality checks such as package parameters, seal, label placement, legibility etc.
  • Perform sensory evaluation such as product tasting, texture, and flavor profile testing
  • Verify stuffing and finished product net weights
  • Grade, label and document raw materials and finished products based on product specifications
  • Identify and address quality defects at all process steps including receiving, cutting, stuffing, cooking, curing, storage, packaging, etc.
  • Monitor overall personal hygiene and food safety of Production staff
  • Conduct species and allergen testing
  • Assist in on-boarding of new production staff by orientating on Food Safe/HACCP/GMP/GF presentation
  • Implement and enforce the Hold and Positive Release Program
  • Assists other QA technicians with their duties if needed and cover duties in absence of other QA technicians
