QA TECHNICIAN (ENTRY LEVEL)
Inno Foods Inc. is a global food manufacturer that is progressively growing and expanding production capacity. We are currently seeking an entry-level full-time QA Technician to join our QA Team. Reporting to the QA Manager, this position is a key support role in ensuring that the food safety management system is maintained and continuously improved upon for company success and customer satisfaction.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Diploma or University Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
· Have relevant working experience in food processing industry is an asset.
· Experience with GFSI recognized schemes is an asset.
· Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
· Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Fast learner, self-directed, detail-oriented, ability to recognize and resolve non-compliant issues.
· Strong time management skills

· Perform routine monitoring and verification tasks according to the food safety and quality management program.
· Work with procurement team to review and approve ingredient suppliers and service providers based on the risk. Monitor and evaluate performance of approved suppliers and service providers to ensure conformity to the required performance criteria.
· Assist in regulatory audits, supplier audits, and third-party audits (FSSC 22000, Organic, Kosher, Gluten-Free, Vegan).
· Assist in identifying, reporting, and investigating non-compliances. Assist in implementing corrective actions and documenting corrective action on reports.
· Assist in customer complaint investigations and reports.
· Review incoming raw material COAs and certificates.
· Update, review and verify production, sanitation, warehouse, and maintenance records to ensure accuracy and completeness of the information.
· Conduct relevant in-house physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing on ingredients, raw materials, and finished products and arrange for external laboratory testing.
· Assist with environmental monitoring program (swabbing, data analysis, trending, documentation), product hold and release program, and recall/ traceability exercises.
· Work with contracted pest control technician to monitor the implementation of pest control program and resolve non-compliance.
· Other general duties as a QA to ensure all aspects of operations meet the requirements of the food safety and quality management system.
· Other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.
