Duties

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts based on detailed requirements and specifications.
• Execute manual and automated tests across multiple environments, including web, mobile (Android and iOS), and desktop applications.
• Utilize testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, JUnit, and LoadRunner to perform functional, performance, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Conduct API testing using REST and SOAP protocols to ensure data integrity and system interoperability.
• Analyze test results to identify root causes of issues; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects efficiently.
• Integrate automated testing frameworks into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions and provide feedback to improve product quality throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Skills

• Proven experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, and Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies including Waterfall and Scrum/Agile frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, C++, and shell scripting (Bash).
• Expertise in testing various platforms including Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and web browsers; familiarity with UI/UX principles.
• Solid understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB; skills in writing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures.
• Ability to perform load testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; conduct performance testing to evaluate system scalability under stress conditions.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and business requirements gathering; excellent debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with version control systems including Git (GitHub/GitLab), SVN, TFS; knowledge of XML/JSON data formats.
• Understanding of SDLC processes from requirements analysis through release management; experience with HP ALM or similar test management tools.
