Description
LMW, on behalf of IBM, is looking for a skilled QA/Tester to join a project for a leading bank. The selected professionals will be responsible for manual testing of both front-end applications (UI) and backend services that integrate with third-party systems. This role requires a balance of functional understanding and technical knowledge, as you will work closely with both the Functional Analyst and the Implementation Team (Developers) to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities Execute manual test cases for UI and service-level components. Log and document test results (passed/failed test cases, defects, re-test results). Re-run test cases after bug fixes to validate resolutions. Collaborate with analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios. University Degree or equivalent qualification. 1–3 years of experience in manual application testing, preferably within the banking sector, lending automation systems, and/or Business Process Management (BPM) systems. Strong experience in documenting test scenarios using functional requirements, user stories, and use cases. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with analysts and developers. Technical Skills Essential: Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, or similar). Proficiency in API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI. Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation. Strong experience in UI and functional testing across different browsers and environments. Competence in maintaining test documentation using tools like Excel or Confluence. Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC processes. Nice to Have: Basic familiarity with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git) for collaboration with developers. Experience testing API integrations using JSON or XML formats. Background in banking systems, BPM, or lending platforms.
