Description
The QA Trainer plays a critical role in strengthening the technical capability of Testronic Manila’s Quality Assurance (QA) workforce. This role supports the development of our QA teams through structured training, coaching, and QA-focused learning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a QA expert first and a trainer second, bringing extensive hands-on experience in functionality testing or game testing. QA-Focused Training Delivery Deliver onboarding and advanced training centered on QA fundamentals and best practices. Facilitate sessions on: Functional, regression, performance, and usability testing Test case creation and execution Bug reporting and defect lifecycle management QA workflows, standards, and project requirements Training Strategy & Collaboration Partner with the L&D Manager and QA leadership to align training initiatives with QA capability development goals. Work closely with QA Managers, Test Leads, and Project Managers to ensure training directly supports project quality and delivery standards. Contribute to building QA competency frameworks and career development pathways. Instructional Design & Content Development Develop QA-focused training materials such as manuals, simulations, and e-learning modules. Ensure all content reflects current QA tools, workflows, and industry standards. Create digital learning assets (e.g., video tutorials, microlearning content). Training Needs Analysis & Coaching Identify QA skill gaps through collaboration with Operations and QA leadership. Provide coaching and mentorship to improve tester performance and technical proficiency. Track and support employee progress, particularly for QA certification readiness. Training Metrics & Continuous Improvement Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance data. Generate insights and recommendations to continuously improve QA training programs. Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on QA experience in software / manual testing or game testing (non-negotiable). Strong, working knowledge of: Functional, regression, performance, and usability testing Bug tracking and reporting processes Test case design and execution Experience with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience in game testing across multiple platforms is highly preferred. Proven ability to coach and mentor QA professionals.
