This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 300000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 3-25 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time Own the entire QA strategy across our product surface: desktop app, CLI, and API workflows Build and lead test automation pipelines (E2E, regression, unit tests). Define testing processes, quality benchmarks, and release standards Work closely with Engineering and Product to catch bugs early and often. Champion product reliability—edge cases, cross-platform issues, and real-world developer use cases Grow the QA culture across the team: documentation, tooling, and test coverage About you: You have 3–5 years of experience in QA or software testing, including leading QA initiatives. Your background includes testing developer-facing products, APIs, or CLI tools—preferably those with hundreds of thousands of users. You possess strong automation skills using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools. You are comfortable writing and reviewing test cases, maintaining CI pipelines, and working asynchronously. You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and have a strong commitment to delivering clean and reliable user experiences. You communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. Bonus points for: Experience in open-source communities or contributions to OSS projects. Familiarity with Electron applications, Node.js, and Git-based workflows. Having tested or contributed to building developer-focused tools like API clients. Comfort working in startup environments or fast-paced product organizations.
Responsibilities
Own the entire QA strategy across desktop, CLI, and API product surfaces while building and leading test automation pipelines. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define quality benchmarks and ensure product reliability through rigorous testing.
