QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman Electrician Certification with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or quality control.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70).
  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Basic understanding of QA/QC processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and report non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in construction environments (OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred).
  • Ability to work at job sites, including heights, using ladders, scaffolds, or aerial lifts.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, installations, and components to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety codes, and quality standards.
  • Assist in implementing QA/QC procedures and processes as directed by the QA/QC Superintendent.
  • Perform testing and verification of electrical systems, including functionality, safety, and compliance assessments.
  • Document inspection results, including deficiencies, and communicate findings to the QA/QC Superintendent for resolution.
  • Support the review of electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure they align with project requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of materials and installations provided by subcontractors and vendors, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality control records, reports, and inspection logs.
  • Promote adherence to safety policies and procedures during inspections and throughout project execution.
  • Collaborate with field personnel, subcontractors, and other team members to resolve quality issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70), and best practices to provide relevant support to the QA/QC Superintendent.
  • Support the commissioning and handover process by verifying punch list completion and assisting in final documentation.
