About Role: Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our team as a Safety Officer who is responsible for monitoring activities at both the airside and landside QDFC facilities and locations, ensuring that all employees, external suppliers and operators comply with QDFC safety standards. Conducting frequent safety inspections to identify and address any safety concerns. Ensuring that QDFC infrastructure and facilities remains safe, orderly, and compliant with national and airport regulations and legislation. The role includes the monitoring and analyzing safety practices within QDFC operations to enhance safety awareness across the QDFC business. Operations: · Gather data from regular checks will be compiled, analyzed and summarised to identify trends and presented to the relevant stakeholders and Managers. · Conduct internal audits to ensure alignment with international standards and assisting employees in reporting incidents, leading investigation and implementation of any corrective actions for all QHSE incidents within QDFC. · Support the employees and contractors in completing QHSE related training to aid in raising awareness and the promotion of a safe culture across all QDFC locations. · Support all business partners, both internal and external for all QHSE related matters for all retail and hospitality locations. · Assist and conduct QHSE inspections, audits throughout QDFC to help identify potential hazards in the workplace and make recommendations for controls to the appropriate department for implementation and follow up the subsequent controls at an appropriate time to ensure implementation. · Develop Monthly reports in relation to QHSE trends and analysis and where appropriate present the findings to the relevant departments. · Conduct investigation of incidents and accidents related to QDFC and assist in the preparation and conduct of any legal proceedings. · Take lead in health and safety promotions across QDFC for events and activities to promote a positive safety culture. · Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft. About You: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience. Essential: · Certification in either Health & safety or Environmental Safety. · NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification. · Strong abilities in the use of Microsoft systems. · Excellent decision making, problem solving and collaboration skills · Ability to work well under pressure · Knowledge of airport operations and safety regulations and procedures · Good knowledge of retail operations, policies and procedures · Good knowledge of warehouse operation, policies and procedures · Ability to read, understand and interpret ordinances, laws and operating procedures · Ability to coordinate emergency situations and to respond appropriately · A good understanding of the principles of supervision · Good computer literacy, administration and office skills · Ability to communicate proficiently in English both verbally and in writing · Ability to courteously and tactfully communicate and relate with superiors, peers and other employees · Working within a team, the individual will need to work to timelines · Shift work and irregular hours as per operational requirement may be required · A flexible and positive attitude is sought · Investigation skills Preferred · IMS Internal Auditor in Quality, Health & Safety and/or Environmental · Investigation skills · Level 3 training on Food Safety · Hazard identification and risk assessment Be part of an extraordinary story Your skills.
