We are currently seeking a QC Analyst to join our high-performing manufacturing facility in Liverpool.

As a QC Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting laboratory testing activities throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Working as part of a collaborative Quality Control team, you will ensure analytical testing is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and site requirements. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to product quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (with flexibility where required).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies.
• Conduct complex analytical techniques including SEC-HPLC, Atomic Absorption (AA), pH, Conductivity, and TOC testing.
• Manage laboratory samples, including receipt, logging, storage, and disposal.
• Support laboratory workload planning in collaboration with the QC leadership team.
• Carry out laboratory support activities to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
• Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and testing methodologies.
• Maintain compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping standards and support established 6S initiatives.
• Assist with laboratory investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and root cause analysis activities.
• Review analytical data and laboratory records for accuracy and compliance.
• Support the training and development of colleagues within the laboratory.
• Participate in analytical method maintenance and validation activities.
• Perform periodic reviews of laboratory procedures and analytical documentation.
• Conduct pharmacopeial compliance assessments and support regulatory readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives within the Quality Control function.

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or significant relevant QC laboratory experience.
• Experience working within a regulated pharmaceutical, medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques including SEC-HPLC, AA, pH, Conductivity, and TOC.
• Experience with analytical weighing, sample preparation, and dilution techniques.
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, and GDP requirements.
• Ability to interpret pharmacopeial methods and laboratory procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
