Description

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Internal experience in machining and or cleaning departments.

REQUIRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AUTHORITIES AND TRAINING NEEDS:

  • Reading of blueprints
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • MathNumber conversions
  • Performance of Calibrations
  • Knowledge of quality systems and inspection procedures for receiving, in process and final QA
  • To provide training on measuring instruments, calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, counting scales and customer specific requirements
    Any other training requirements / comments
    Repetitive motion in use of quality control inspection tools

PPAP EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Use of internal software; SPC, QCBD, MAS, Microsoft Office, Datalyzer Software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arms and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use fingers. Ability to pull, push and lift objects. Ability to grasp and feel.

A detail-oriented individual who maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, first and in-process production, finished products, recording quality results. Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is helpful, plastics manufacturing a plus.

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and labeling nonconforming materials.
  • Approves first piece and inprocess production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to machinist.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following calibration schedule, addressing repairs or replacement
  • Documents results of calibrations for designated QA equipment
  • Documents or provides required paperwork per order
  • Special testing when required (Torque, Tensile, Moisture Analyzer)
  • Other duties as assigne
