Description
Inspect material or product for visual or surface defects such as cracks, pits and damaged finish, incomplete welds, structural flaws, hardness, etc. Verify specified dimensions of product or material with precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and special gauges Make acceptance/rejection decisions, referring questionable cases to supervisor Identify and separate rejected parts, products or assemblies, interpret test results and work with production to assure that corrective action is taken on defective items Maintain records and complete inspection reports and non-conformance reports as required Visually inspect and verify equipment to ensure accuracy Verify third party reports for conformance and accuracy Input/extract information to/from SAP Focus on continuous improvement in all areas Ensure safe working practices and adheres to procedures High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience with oilfield products, experience assembling/disassembling oilfield equipment Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 10th edition Knowledge in NDE with LPI, MPI, NDE, PMI, Visual weld inspection preferrable Forklift operation certification, overhead crane operation certification, WHMIS, Emergency First Aid preferrable Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
