We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous QC Laboratory Assistant to join a goal-oriented team. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: Matric certificate / grade 12 or equivalent. NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: At least 1 years' experience within the pharmaceutical/ biotech manufacturing/ quality control or similar position. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and LIMS / ERP (SAP) systems. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: Core Technical Delivery: Assist in day-to-day laboratory operation requirements. Water sampling and bottle/label preparation. Follow the relevant Test methods and SOPs. Assistance with QC administrative tasks. Carry out specialized cleaning for graded areas. Maintain all required stock to ensure no delays in testing. Adhere to all QC Quality systems. Maintain housekeeping in Laboratory Preparation Areas. Ensure effective stocktaking. Develop or amend SOPs when required. Assigned areas/ equipment/ processes maintained as per cGMP/ GLP at all times. Participate in department audits and implement corrective actions where required. Contribute technical knowledge, experience and learning to quality team with respect to assigned equipment and/ or processes. Maintain up to date working knowledge of assigned equipment/ processes. Training competent back-up/ alternative staff. Perform duties as reasonably required, within your scope of practice. Responsibilities
The core technical delivery involves assisting with daily laboratory operations, including water sampling, preparing bottles and labels, and strictly following established Test Methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities also include administrative support, specialized cleaning of graded areas, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring all assigned areas and equipment adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
