POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high product standards by conducting a variety of tests on production samples to ensure product safety and quality. This is a self-directed role with minimal supervision and will involve collaborating with other members of the Quality Assurance team.
This is a part-time position to start, with hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The plan is to transition the position into a full-time role if the candidate proves to be a good fit. The schedule may change, and we are awaiting confirmation of the details.
The pay rate for this position is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, or relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
  • College Certificate in Chemical, Biochemical, or Chemical Engineering Technology is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Up to 2 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing or educational environment is required.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with specialized lab equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to maintain proper documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Laboratory Testing:
  • Perform standard physical and microbiological tests on finished products.
  • Maintain accurate records and properly enter data from testing.
  • Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare materials for routine testing.
  • Follow safety guidelines and industry regulations such as GMPs/GLPs.
  • Calibrate and operate testing instruments safely and accurately.
  • Keep the laboratory clean and organized.
  • Production Support:
  • Contribute to quality control and process-related projects.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the quality team.
