JOB SPECIFICATION: QC LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week: Shifts vary but can start at 6am.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of oils, lubricants and fuels with opportunities to develop.
The successful candidate will ideally have a degree or have completed a relevant apprenticeship in any one of the sciences and be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environment which will require personal protective equipment. The successful candidate should be driven to work at a fast pace and ensure that all health and safety requirements are adhered to and be able to work in accordance to BS EN ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

· QC of manufactured lubricants and raw materials (including XRF, FTIR, CCS)
· Data recording and analysis
· Maintaining and calibration of Laboratory Equipment
· Housekeeping of the laboratory including cleaning, maintaining stock levels of consumables
· Producing reports
· Working with the R&D department to produce lab blends of new formulations
