POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Lead is responsible for overseeing quality control inspection processes within Airbus A320 FAL. This role ensures that all aircraft maintenance processes meet quality standards, Airbus FAL standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control inspection within the aerospace industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, MRO or aerospace manufacturing environments preferred.
  • ASQ (American Society for Quality) certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) are a plus.
  • Proficient in quality control inspection tools and techniques, including root cause analysis, 8D Methodology, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Knowledge and proficiency in the following electronic reporting systems is highly preferred: SAP, PAM, EQLB, FTQ.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA regulations. EASA regulations familiarity is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings (in-person & remotely), conduct training, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all quality control processes

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality control inspectors providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and efficient quality checks.
  • Be familiar with and implement quality control processes and procedures in compliance with aerospace industry standards, including ISO9001, AS9100 and Airbus FAL-specific requirements.
  • Oversee and participate in inspections of incoming materials, in-process components/work, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, work specifications, work orders and quality standards.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, initiate root cause analysis, and collaborate with production and engineering teams on corrective actions to resolve non-conformities and quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, generate quality reports, and present findings to management. Ensure proper documentation of inspection results and compliance with regulatory requirements and Airbus FAL requirements.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Ensure all quality control activities comply with Airbus FAL quality policies, FAA regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
