QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :

  • Baccalauréat en science et technologie des aliments, sciences alimentaires, ou génie alimentaire.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for the evening shift at our Saint-Bruno production facility. Reporting to the Quality Assurance and Animal Welfare Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor will oversee product quality operations, including both raw materials and finished products. This role involves supervising a team of quality technicians and implementing processes that ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to maintain high standards and ensure smooth operations, regulatory compliance, and alignment with customer requirements and company policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Science, or Food Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in food quality and safety, preferably in a federally inspected facility.
  • Experience in meat or poultry processing is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GFSI, SQF, and meat inspection standards (LSAC, LAD).
  • Solid understanding of allergen management and microbiology.
  • Strong leadership skills focused on influence, motivation, and team engagement.
  • Proactive mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated judgment and precision in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with JDE, Kronos, or similar tools.
  • Bilingual in French and English is preferred; knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Good Industrial Practices (GIP) and hygiene protocols across the facility.
  • Maintain product quality in accordance with HACCP program standards.
  • Oversee and follow up on non-conformities, complaints, corrective/preventive actions, and ensure timely completion of all controls.
  • Monitor analysis results and lead investigations for products on hold (quarantined).
  • Support daily production operations, including conducting product shelf-life evaluations.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance product quality and address critical food safety control points.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams during product trials and new product launches.
  • Conduct necessary validations to ensure HACCP and CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) program compliance.
