POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer expectations. This leadership position oversees day-to-day operations within the quality control department, directs inspection teams, and collaborates across departments to drive continuous improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant technical discipline (minimum of 4 years as an inspector in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment is considered equivalent to a technical diploma).
  • 8-10 years of experience in a technical position in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience with standard office equipment and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organization and follow-up skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the application of Quality personnel and resources to support manufacturing operations including the quantity of appropriately skilled personnel, tools and equipment; monitor personnel efficiency and utilization; identify gaps and take action to close performance gaps;
  • Provide technical guidance to personnel in areas of inspection and quality; support the cross training of inspection personnel within other areas of operations to eliminate single points of failure;
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection process improvements and cost reductions including review of shop orders, operation sheets, data cards and other instructions for adequacy and correctness; identify equipment and process changes. Identify, evaluate and recommend new inspection technologies to support CI;
  • Support CI initiatives related to manufacturing operations; support the process improvement activities for reduction of rework and scrap; support the implementation of SPC and other similar processes as required.
