What You’ll Do As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. You’ll work hands-on with block and aggregate materials, conduct inspections, and help maintain the exceptional standards our customers trust. Key Responsibilities Collect and prepare block and aggregate samples (up to 50 lbs per sample). Inspect truck beds to ensure compliance and cleanliness. Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations within the QC Lab. Mix colors to specification and verify product design accuracy. Maintain accurate documentation and enter data into company systems. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the QC and production teams. What You’ll Bring Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you’re professional, approachable, and a team player. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience handling state and federal documentation preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons. Work Environment Work safely and in compliance with all YBP Safety Policies. Work may take place both indoors and outdoors — expect exposure to heat, cold, dust, and varying weather conditions. May involve operating or working around heavy machinery and equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, sit, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. Capable of shoveling wet, heavy materials for extended periods.
