QAagency is working with a well-established manufacturer in the Wirral region who are looking to add a QC Technician to their Quality team. Reporting to the QC Lead, this role will be hands-on in ensuring raw materials, packaging and finished products meet the highest standards before and during production.
The position is shift-based, working Monday to Thursday on a rotating pattern of 6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00. You will be involved in a mixture of incoming goods inspection, chemical testing, in-line sampling and batch record documentation, working closely with production and quality colleagues to support operational output.
You will carry out incoming goods inspections and finished product checks, alongside chemical analysis of raw materials and concentrates. You will ensure all Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and quality documentation are completed accurately, and that any non-conforming items are segregated with corrective actions recommended and followed through. The role also includes calibration, verification and monitoring of measuring devices in the laboratory, as well as reporting quality issues to Production and Quality Assurance.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience within a QC laboratory environment
• Knowledge of testing packaging, componentry, raw materials and blend analysis prior to use in production
• Familiarity with producing certificates of analysis and certificates of conformance
• Highly organised and meticulous in approach, with a strong eye for detail
