SUMMARY

The Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Associate is responsible for reviewing and verifying the Safety and Health Programs, Procedures, and Training Pre-qualification requirements on behalf of AVETTA Clients and Supplier Members. The APAC Region includes (but not limited to) Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A current Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or APAC region equivalent or working towards
  • Knowledge of APAC applicable Region WHS Standards and Legislation
  • 1 year of relevant work experience in the safety profession preferred but not essential (e.g., working within Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental department/s, or working in a safety / health discipline, or working for an Assessment Body carrying out WHS assessments)
  • Safety and Health Program development and/or revision is an advantage
  • Knowledge of the relevant high-risk industries we serve is an advantage
  • Lead Auditor Qualification in either or all ISO certifications (ISO 9001, 14001 and /or ISO 45001) or working towards
  • Working knowledge of relevant country/ies Health & Safety legislation and practices.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct Manual Audits and client specific audits in Avetta Connect, to assess a Contractor’s Safety and Health Policies, Procedures, and Training documentation required based on exposure hazards associated with scope of works performed. The Audits are intended to ensure supply chain compliance with applicable WHS (Work Health and Safety) standards and legislation (Region, State, Territory, etc.) and any Client site requirements. In addition, the QHSE Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct Manual, Implementation, and/or Field QHSE Audits and guide suppliers with closing gaps or deficiencies from the audit.
  • Assist suppliers with addressing gaps or deficiencies from the audit using Avetta QHSE CARES Approach.
  • Respond promptly to supplier inquiries.
  • Record details of inquiries, comments, and escalations within the Suppliers Account Notes.
  • Forward customer complaints or concerns to the Designated HSE Lead or Manager in a timely manner.
  • Follow Avetta’s Professional standards with Avetta’s Priority Behaviors.
  • Be available to travel to conduct WHS site audits – access to reliable transportation therefore required.
  • Record details of enquiries, comments and complaints within Salesforce including handling talk desk inbound voice messages.

Audits conducted by QHSE Associates will be reviewed by the more experienced QHSE Professionals within the team to maintain audit quality and consistency. Random Quality Assurance reviews will also be performed by the QHSE Data Quality Team.
