Description

The QHSE Coordinator has responsibility for Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and process control in conjunction with the QHSE Manager. This includes multiple departments throughout the Northampton site.
The QHSE Coordinator will be assigned tasks in line with the overall company strategy and will have objectives set out by the QHSE Manager.
Duties will include Health and Safety, Quality and process control, with the focus on adherence to all regulatory requirements and company procedures. The QHSE Coordinator may be involved with Operational Excellence improvement teams and will act in a supportive manner to aid continuous improvement.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

· Qualified ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 Auditor or Quality Management Qualification is desirable
· Fluency in English, both written and oral
· Experience of working at a manufacturing business with a strong emphasis on quality assurance
· High level Excel Skills (pivot tables, filters, etc.)
· Good Microsoft Word and Powerpoint skills
· An eye for detail is required, as this role will be very product inspection focused

· IOSH Managing Safely
· Experience in working with Lean Manufacturing techniques

Responsibilities

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting in operating a safe and quality focused working environment and highlighting any concerns or deviations to the relevant manager
  • Responsible for ensuring our quality standards are always adhered to throughout the departments
  • Inspection testing – checking made product for deviations, across all production departments, including that already moved to Dispatch
  • Ensuring the associated quality documentation is complete and accurate
  • Carry out daily quality checks on the line, across all production departments
  • Preparation of PIT information for all Tier level meetings
  • Collation of Quality information daily from complaint information
  • Collation of Health and Safety data (ad hoc as the need arises)
  • Preparation of monthly reports (Quality and Health and Safety) for analysis by QHSE Manager and review by Management Team
  • Participate in the undertaking risk assessments,
  • Participate in the completion of accident/incident investigations with the Management Team, Quality adherence and complaint investigations
  • Identify where there are deviations or lack of consistency in the process and assist in the development of training sessions/manuals as required
  • Planning and conducting internal audits
  • Creating and updating relevant documents

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The QHSE Coordinator will carry out the duties of the QHSE Manager in his/her absence if/when these duties are assigned or as otherwise requested by the Senior Management
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement ethos in the company Operational Excellence Programme
  • Participating in root cause investigation and analysis of identified customer complaints and internal non-conformance issues contributing to finding and applying clear corrective and permanent solutions
  • Responsibility to assist the QHSE Manager in the preparation, execution and post-processing of external audits
  • Checking, documentation and analysis of all costs raised by quality issues
  • Preparation of quality data from customer and internal system
  • To work within the scope of the policies, procedures and values of the company and raise any concerns as they arise.
  • To promote and participate in the efficient flow of information within the company by sharing and seeking information as appropriate.
  • Assist the QHSE Manager in identifying the ongoing resources, development and succession plans in readiness to continue in line with the future business requirement
  • To carry out any other duties, which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description. Such flexibility is essential as the type and volume of work is always subject to change, therefore allowing the company to operate efficiently and gain maximum potential.
