Description
Overview QHSE Lead (18‑Month FTC) Redditch, Worcestershire | Morgan Advanced Materials Salary: £45000 Why this role matters Morgan Advanced Materials makes high‑performance materials that go into things people rarely see but rely on every day. The Redditch site is going through a big transition, including rolling out a major ERP system. While that’s happening, they need someone to take the reins on all things QHSE and keep the wheels turning safely, compliantly, and sensibly. This role steps in for the existing QHSE Manager while they’re absorbed by the ERP project. You’ll keep the site aligned, audit‑ready, and out of trouble. The role You’ll lead Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental activity across the site day‑to‑day. That means keeping ISO standards in shape, improving processes, investigating issues properly (not just ticking boxes), and being the go‑to person for anything QHSE‑related during a busy period of change. Responsibilities Run and improve the site’s ISO 9001 quality systems. Manage internal audits, corrective actions, and supplier quality issues. Lead H&S compliance, risk assessments, incident investigations, and follow‑through actions. Carry out gap analyses and implement actions for new Group HSE Framework Standards. Monitor and report environmental KPIs, keeping the site aligned with Group expectations. Support sustainability initiatives and practical improvements. Act as the main point of contact for QHSE queries (internal and external). Guide and train teams on QHSE policies, with a calm head and clear communication. Work with ops and the ERP project team to make sure QHSE requirements don’t get lost in the excitement. Qualifications Experience in QHSE management within manufacturing. Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and UK H&S legislation. Confident leading audits, investigations, and improvement work. Comfortable juggling priorities during change—you’ve done it before and lived to tell the tale. Strong communicator who can influence without making a song and dance about it. Degree in Engineering, Quality, Safety, or similar (or solid equivalent experience). Nice to have Experience supporting system or ERP implementations from a QHSE angle. Familiarity with sustainability reporting. Morgan Advanced Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Ind-1
