Role Overview:
This role involves conducting external audits of management systems to ensure compliance with ISO/IMS standards, across various industries, including manufacturing, construction, and engineering, while leveraging industrial engineering expertise to assess and improve operational processes across client organisations.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating management systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring adherence to international standards.
Auditors are responsible for conducting audits in a timely and effective manner, employing relevant risk assessment standards and maintaining audit rigor and technical integrity to meet internal and external accreditation requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Lead Auditor certification in ISO standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO/IMS standards and their practical application across industries.
  • Proven experience across industries such as construction, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Strong expertise in process analysis, workflow optimization, and operational improvements.
  • Ability to critically evaluate technical processes and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Exceptional skills in report writing, analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, from executives to operational staff.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct external audits for certification purposes, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), and other applicable standards.
  • Assess and verify the effectiveness of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) across a range of industries, ensuring compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
  • Analyse business operations, workflows, and processes during audits to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, applying industrial engineering principles to recommend practical improvements.
  • Provide expert advice to client organisations on aligning operational processes with ISO/IMS standards while enhancing productivity and sustainability.
  • Evaluate process designs and production systems to ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring workplace health and safety standards are met in all processes and facilities.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed audit reports, highlighting observations, non-conformities, and actionable recommendations to client management teams.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, emerging standards, and advancements in industrial engineering to offer valuable insights during audits.
  • Assist client organizations in implementing lean processes, reducing waste, and optimizing resource utilization.
