SUMMARY

We are seeking a QHSE Manager to join our dedicated team at LDG Contracts in the North West. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations comply with health and safety regulations, contributing to our mission of delivering quality products while safeguarding environmental standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in a similar QHSE management role, preferably within a manufacturing or construction site environment
  • Knowledge and experience of document control procedures and internal auditing
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
  • Experience of Construction, cladding and fenestration desirable

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all QHSE activities on site and at our factories, including:
  • Delivering induction and refresher training
  • Developing, updating, and implementing Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments both on site and within our factories
  • Managing and monitoring contractors on site
  • Working with Main Contractor QHSE managers ensuring compliance with their systems and attending Main Contractor meetings
  • Monthly review of site QHSE with site managers / contracts managers ensuring compliance and adherence to company policies
  • Leading incident investigations and ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Take overall accountability for product quality across the business including manufactured goods, supplier audits and installed products
  • Ensure QHSE checks are being performed both on site and at our factories and results are being recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Drive, support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business
  • Maintain document control systems and ensure timely updates of policies and procedures
  • Prepare and lead internal and external audits
  • Provide monthly reports and updates to senior management regarding QHSE performance and compliance
  • Maintaining accreditations such as ISO9001, ISO45001 & ISO14001 whist identifying other certifications to improve the business
