Job Title QHSE Manager Physical Distribution Job Description Are you able to bring all loose ends together to create an integrated QSHE landscape into our Physical Distribution (PhD) EU team? As QSHE Manager, it's your job to set up, lead, and manage QSHE in our European Distribution Centers. This role emphasizes the integration of the different elements of QSHE, ensuring compliance with all standards, and driving initiatives towards a safe and sustainable future. What will you be doing? As QSHE Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and managing policies and systems in the field of quality, health, safety, and environment (QSHE). You ensure that the organization complies with relevant laws and regulations, internal standards, and external certifications. Additionally, you play an important role in optimizing facilities to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment. You are responsible for the management of the RI&E; drafting and maintaining our processes and procedures for a safe working environment. You drive a cultural change in the field of safety, environment, and continuous improvement within the European Distribution Centers of Vanderlande. Responsibilities Define, maintain, and ensure compliance and assurance of QSHE policies, instructions, and procedures. Conduct risk assessments and recommend and follow up on the implementation of preventive measures. Support the Director of Physical Distribution and team leaders in implementing effective QSHE policies. Function as the liaison partner between corporate QSHE teams. Implement Velocity EHS as a data management system for HSE-related data. Ensure training, toolbox meetings, and exercises are conducted for all PhD employees. Manage incident investigations and non-compliance reports. Oversee HSE training and orientation for new employees. Prepare and update reports within specified deadlines. Conduct regular QSHE audits and safety rounds, and support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 initiatives. What do we ask from you? Several years of experience in QSHE roles within distribution, logistics, or manufacturing. Experience in leading teams and managing QSHE programs. Knowledge and experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies. Understanding of local and international QSHE regulations. Strong communication skills and ability to train staff. Analytical skills to improve QSHE performance. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety. Familiarity with data analysis and reporting statistics. Command of MS Office; knowledge of Velocity EHS is a plus. Excellent communication skills at all levels. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team. Demonstrable HBO working and thinking level. Experience in a similar position. Analytical, innovative, solution-oriented, leadership & motivational characteristics. Experience in an advisory role within QSHE. Experience with lean and process optimization.
