QS/Estimator – Commercial Interiors Own the full pricing process on high-quality interior fit-outs Hands-on role – not a reporting position Waikato or Bay of Plenty based | Flexible set-up About Ice Interiors Since 2013, Ice Interiors has built a strong reputation delivering high-quality commercial fit-outs across office, retail, and specialist environments, including medical and dental. Known for their practical approach and strong client relationships, they continue to grow and secure repeat work across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. The role This is a specialist commercial interior estimating role, not a general QS position. You’ll take full ownership of projects from initial take-off through to final account, working closely with the project teams. This role requires someone who understands interiors systems in detail and can price work independently and accurately. What you’ll be doing Complete full take-offs from drawing sets Build and price BOQs from scratch Prepare and submit competitive tenders Manage variations (VOs), changes and claims Drive projects through to final account What we need from you Proven experience in commercial interiors estimating (essential) Ability to independently complete full take-offs and BOQs (non-negotiable) Strong experience tendering to main contractors Confident managing variations, claims and financial outcomes Comfortable working end-to-end with minimal oversight Technical experience You’ll have solid pricing experience across: GIB/plasterboard, steel stud framing, ceiling systems (Rondo, grid & tile), aluminium partitions, linings (Seratone, Weatherline), passive fire systems, acoustic systems (including Autex/dB-Sorb), Korok systems, insulation, and interior finishing systems. You’ll also bring A strong understanding of the local construction market Established or developing relationships with Tauranga / BOP main contractors A commercial mindset and ability to identify opportunities Important – please read This role requires a hands-on interiors QS who has personally completed full take-offs, BOQs, and pricing. It is not suited to candidates from: Civil construction Residential-only backgrounds Main contractor roles without independent pricing responsibility Pure cost-reporting QS positions Roles reliant on subcontractor pricing rather than self-measuring and pricing interiors systems Location Waikato or Bay of Plenty based, supporting projects across both regions.
