Description QUALIFICATIONS: *Assists residents with ADL’s skillfully with consideration for individual needs. *Provides personal hygiene measures appropriately. *Utilizes measures that promote good skin care following the Skin Care Program. *Uses assistive devices in ambulation, dressing and eating. *Provides preventative maintenance and rehabilitative measures, i.e. ambulation, ROM, positioning, dressing, allowing opportunity for self-care. *Promotes residents’ participation in activities. *Provides care outlined in the Negotiated Service Plan. *Performs competently technical skills considered basic to the scope of service. *Assists the resident in the provision of adequate nutrition, including fluid intake and supplements. *Follows procedures to aid adequate bladder and bowel elimination/retraining. *Adjusts for physical and/or mental limitations. *Demonstrates accurate monitoring of body functions in vital signs, weight, intake and output measurements and collection of specimens. *Replenishes and orders supplies. Reports all maintenance needs promptly. *Supports and promotes unit, department, and facility policies, procedures and goals. *Completes assigned cleaning tasks according to established schedule. *Provides care for the dying resident and provides postmortem care. *Completes tasks as assigned by the Nurse Manager within the NA-C’s Scope of Practice. *Provides orientation for new staff members. Requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION: · Must be 18 years or older. · Current NA-C licensure in the State of Washington. · Holds or is currently in the process of acquiring a food handlers’ permit. · Holds or is currently in the process of acquiring a First Aid/CPR card. · Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with elderly and/or disabled individuals. · Ability to cook and bake independently; follow recipes. · Below certifications are required for the job. You will have up to 120 days to acquire these certificates. o Nurse Delegation Training Certification. o Modified Fundamentals of Nursing Certification. o Dementia Training Certification.
