SEEKING A FULL TIME QUALIFIED BAKER WITH PRIOR EXPERIENCE

38 hour week. Sunday night to Thursday night roster. 11:00pm-7:00am.

We are a small traditional Bakehouse located in San Remo, Victoria right on the door step to Phillip Island. We have our busiest 8 weeks of the year over December/ January when the tourists arrive, but maintain steady production throughout the entire year. Applicant would need to be reliable, able to work on their own and in a team environment. Ability to multitask and time manage is a must.
Duties/ Position expectations to include:
- bread making and baking - white, wholemeal, grain, rye and sourdough.
- pastry experience such as puff pastry, pie bottoms etc.
- making traditional bakery cakes such as apple cakes, slices, biscuits, wagon wheels, strudel, bananas bread etc.
- maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area
- maintaining stock levels throughout the bakery
A regular shift would include - putting on pie meats, baking bread production (around 50-75kg during quieter times, Up to 120kg during busier periods), bread slicing, order packing, making sausage rolls, cake production including shortbread products, muffins, creams etc.
