  • Qualified Chef/Cook

QUALIFIED CHEF/COOK POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or other relevant qualification
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a kitchen role
  • A team player, who can lead by example and contribute to the motivation of the team, encouraging a positive culture
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Flexibility and availability to work around a varying roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Someone with a passion for food trends who is constantly looking at opportunities for professional development
  • Immaculate grooming and hygiene standards
Responsibilities
  • Food preparation in accordance with restaurant procedures and guidelines
  • Food services duties during the operational hours of the restaurant and any required function catering
  • Minimising wastage through conscious food preparation methods and goods security
  • Ensuring efficient stock rotation to ensure food quality is maintained
  • Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Adhere to WHS policy and procedures
  • Any other duties as listed in the PD for the role, or as directed by Management
