· The Rudloe Arms Hotel has a great opportunity for a talented and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. We are a historic country house hotel known for our exceptional dining experience, and we are looking for a creative and skilled individual to help us maintain our high standards. Serving Breakfast & Dinner, our team is dedicated to serving the finest food in the area, sourcing the highest quality produce possible to do so.
· The ideal candidate for this role will be constantly striving to further their gastronomic knowledge, improving every facet of their culinary technique on a daily basis whilst representing the quality associated with our premises

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a hotel or fine dining setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences.· A high level of experience is not required as on the job training will be provided. However an NVQ level 2 in food production & cooking or PCD level 2 is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to our established recipes and standards. The candidate is expected to work 5 split shifts a week, work well within a team, take instruction well & work to a high standard.
  • Assist in menu planning and developing new, innovative dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and manage food stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
