JOB OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about child development, nature-based learning, and respectful, research-informed care? At Lux Curiosity Club, we are seeking dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join our innovative, play-rich environment where curiosity is celebrated, and children are empowered to thrive.
We provide care and education for children aged 2.5 to 12 years, rooted in the Curiosity Approach, neuroscience, and developmentally appropriate practices. We are proud to stand as a Curiosity Approach® Pioneer, being the very first childcare centre to receive full accreditation in the Curiosity Approach® pedagogy. The ideal candidate will be child-led in their approach, enthusiastic, reflective, and ready to contribute to a high-performing, supportive team. The full training will be provided to the right candidate.

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 6+ in Early Childhood Care and Education
  • Experience working with children aged 2.5 to 12 years (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early years pedagogy is an advantage
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Team player with initiative, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills

Passionate about nature play, respectful care, and creating meaningful learning environments

  • Strong organisational and leadership potential
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support children in a natural, toy-free setting that promotes creativity, resilience, and independence
  • Build warm, professional partnerships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Implement emergent curriculum and child-led planning inspired by the Aistear and Siolta frameworks
  • Observe, document, and extend learning through engaging experiences and inquiry-based projects
  • Promote emotional well-being, safety, and inclusion for all children
  • Contribute to reflective practice and continuous quality improvement as part of a close-knit, purpose-driven team
