JOB SUMMARY

As a qualified dental nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various dental procedures, providing excellent patient care, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a qualified Dental Nurse with a valid GDC registration.
  • Proficient with dental software and digital radiography.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and regulations.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care and proven ability to foster a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, surgeries, and preventive treatments.
  • Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as required and ensure they are correctly processed.
  • Maintain patient records accurately and efficiently using our practice management software.
  • Provide patients with pre-and post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
  • Manage patient appointments, confirming and rescheduling as necessary to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices to promote better dental health.
  • Ensure the dental surgery and any other areas are kept clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in managing stock levels and ordering clinical supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining compliance with dental practice standards.
