Description

We are looking to hire a full time qualified dental nurse at a private dental practice in N8,Hornsey London

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Excellent organisational skills
  3. Experience in working with some or all dental specialists: Implantologist, Periodontist, Endodontist, Orthodontist
  4. GDC registration
  5. Experience/Qualification in taking CBCT and intra oral scanners is an advantage
  6. Local to the area would be an advantage
    Working Schedule: This job is full time - 5 days a week. Hours and days to be discussed
    Pay: Pay to be discussed, dependant on experience, qualifications and competence
    Start Date: To be discussed.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
  • Provide chair side assistance to dentist by passing instruments, mixing filling materials, suctioning
  • Set-up and prepare the treatment room appropriately for each patient
  • Prepare the necessary materials and instruments, making sure that equipment and instruments are in good working order and maintained regularly in accordance with practice policy
  • Work in decontamination room sterilising instruments and packaging ready for re use.
  • Follow the practice procedures for infection prevention and control
  • Segregate waste in accordance with the practice procedures and ensure its safe disposal
  • Assist in taking radiographs according to your level of training
  • Process, mount and file dental radiographs
  • Maintain and decontaminate equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and your training
  • Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if required
  • Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC
  • Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines
  • Establish, promote and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team
  • Use dental computer system to maintain patient records
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
