JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting the dental team in providing high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Dental Nurse with a recognized UK general dental council certification or diploma in dental nursing .
  • Previous experience in a dental practice is essential; newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with dental implant procedures is advantageous but not essential, training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high standards of care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems for record keeping is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following infection control protocols and regulations.
  • Take patient medical histories and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
  • Provide chairside support to dentists, including suctioning, passing instruments, and managing patient comfort.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up with patients as needed.
  • Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and sterilised after each use.
  • Support administrative tasks as required, including filing patient records and managing inventory of dental supplies.
  • Assisting with reception and administrative duties where required.
