We are seeking a dedicated and professional dual-trained Dental Nurse and Receptionist to join our friendly independent family dental practice. This is a full-time position, with three days a week in the surgery and the other two days working on reception.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients and extend this in supporting our growing team of clinicians chairside. This position will be available from the start of October.
We are a fully private, Denplan Excel accredited practice with well-equipped surgeries and excellent administrative and professional support. As well the highest standards of general dentistry, the practice offers implants and Invisalign with an in-house team of hygienists.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are really important to interact effectively with patients. Excellent organisation and an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment are also key. We value teamwork highly. Bringing a positive can-do approach and a willingness to help means we can as a practice provide the best service possible for our patients. Having interests outside of work we also value, particularly if they can help demonstrate the skills and attributes we try to encourage. Our patients often love to have a chat about a broad range of topics too. We would also be happy to support someone who wanted to develop their professional skills within the team.
The role is full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday. Core hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 4.30pm finish on Fridays. You must be GDC registered and a minimum of one year’s experience is preferable. Experience working with SoE Exact would be an advantage but full training can be given.
We offer excellent rates of pay, from £15.50 per hour, with an annual bonus. Your salary can be discussed with if you would like an initial chat.
28 days annual leave including Bank Holidays (with a couple of additional days leave between Christmas and New Year). Further unpaid leave is also possible.
There is a company pension scheme with an option for salary sacrifice if this is helpful to you. The practice covers indemnity, GDC registration, DBS clearance and uniforms are provided. We provide CPD training in-house with Denplan throughout the year and CPR training. There is a well-equipped kitchen and staff room which have been refurbished this summer, and a sunny patio for lunch breaks too when the weather allows.
Please get in touch if you think you may enjoy working with us and include your CV.
