Northern Grampians Shire Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our Early Years team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma of Children’s Services or equivalent as required under the Education and Care Services National regulations
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training).

• Provide guidance/support/direction/ and general supervision of staff, students and volunteers working within the rooms;
• Develop the Children’s Program (reflecting Early Years Learning Framework guidelines);
• Mentor students on practical placement. Provide verbal and written feedback/reporting in compliance with the school/tafe or university processes;
• Ensure accurate records are kept in regard to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication. The appropriate books/records are to be checked regularly to ensure ongoing compliance;
• Oversee daily that a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc. in compliance with the OH&S Policy.
