Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Qualified Electrician to join our team. This role involves carrying out a mix of planned and reactive electrical maintenance, testing & inspection, and installation works across a range of sites. As part of a small team, you will often be required to work independently but also have the opportunity to take on varied work where no day is the same, contribute to the growth of the business and develop strong customer relationships through high-quality work. The ability to get on well with customers and work in a clean and tidy manner is essential. We do not advertise so repeat work and word-of-mouth recommendations are our main source of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on domestic and commercial systems.
  • Undertake electrical installation works (e.g., lighting, sockets, consumer units etc).
  • Conduct periodic testing, inspection, and certification in line with current regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and NICEIC requirements at all times.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, reports, and test certificates.
  • Plan for and order materials for scheduled works, and maintain company van(s) in good order with appropriate stock levels.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (one evening per week plus approx. one weekend in four).
  • Provide excellent customer service, including advice and scoping of future works, and represent the company professionally whilst on site.
