Robertson’s Farmgate is a thriving florist, homewares store, and nursery located in beautiful Mt Duneed. We’re on the lookout for a qualified florist/sales assistant to join our passionate and energetic team.

ABOUT YOU

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • A qualified florist with at least 2 years of experience
  • Confident with both floristry and plant care, particularly post-harvest handling
  • Creative with an eye for detail and strong visual merchandising skills
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic, adaptable, and proactive in a team or working independently
  • Comfortable working in a busy, friendly and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Experienced with POS systems and basic stock control
  • A holder of a current Victorian Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

This hands-on and varied position offers the chance to work in a creative, community-focused business with a genuine love of flowers, plants and beautiful homewares. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating custom floral arrangements and shop displays
  • Providing exceptional customer service in-store
  • Preparing and pricing flowers and homewares for sale
  • Managing post-harvest flower care and daily flower maintenance
  • Stripping, cleaning, and grading flowers and foliage
  • Picking and sorting flowers grown on-site
  • Processing website, phone, and in-store orders
  • Offering product advice and taking customer orders
  • Ensuring quality control and stock presentation
  • Assisting with stock management and POS systems
  • Keeping workspaces clean, safe, and organised
  • Supporting the team with general tasks as required
