Description The Helton House, Inc. Psychosocial Day Program focuses on providing services to individuals of at least 18 years of age who have deficits in functional and daily living skills necessary to maintain self-sufficiency and independence due to mental, behavioral, or emotional illness. Services are geared to address issues including but not limited to medication compliance, improving ADLs, decision making/problem solving skills, and interpersonal relationship building skills. Helton House provides support to adults with disabilities and the mission of the programs are to provide skill building, safety supports and other person-centered support services to individuals diagnosed with mental, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. These programs are carried out in an environment where individual rights and personal choices are respected. Our services strive to support individuals in becoming valued, fully integrated members of the local community by assisting them with accessing the full range of community services and activities. Responsibilities Develop individualized service plans Evaluate individual progress and communicate when there is a need for changes Provide training to DSPs on the reinforcement of functional skills and appropriate behavior Assistance with medication management Advocating and linking with other community resources based on individual needs Assist individual or family member in the application of benefits Maintain accurate documentation Requirements Licensed with the Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional or eligible to be licensed Driver's License Bachelor’s Degree Computer experience and proficiency required Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage/prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities Most have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate professionally and clearly
