JOB DESCRIPTION

• To ensure that Clean Service Kits and vehicle protection aids are used at all times.
• Repair, test and Diagnose vehicle faults
• To instruct Apprentice Technicians concerning repair procedures as required.
• To be conversant with Service and Workshop bulletins, rules and safety matters etc.
• To inform Service Advisor of additional work required on vehicles.
• To test drive vehicles as necessary.
• Attend Technical Training Courses.
• Continuously strive to improve technical knowledge.
• Send Technical Reports to Brand.
• Liaise with Brand Technical Departments.

SKILLS

• Automotive vehicle repairs
• Diagnostics
• Qualified motor technician experience
• Qualified technician with a Craft Cert or equivalent QQI Level 6
• Experience - ideally working within in a Brand dealership.
• Ability to complete job card write-ups with a good understanding of the requirements of Brand standards for warranty write-ups.
• Good communication skills written and oral
• Previous experience working with Brand Dealer systems diagnosis equipment and modern electronics is an advantage
• Full clean and valid driving license
