Description
The Department of Psychiatry in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Qualitative Research Lead. This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 1 year (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
The position reports to the Principal Investigator with support from the senior leadership team.
This position will be based out of the Mathison Centre for Mental Health Research & Education at the University of Calgary - Foothills Campus, and involves working with government and community-based non-profit agencies across the province. The Qualitative Research Lead is a highly skilled qualitative researcher with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts, technical aspects and practices essential to directing and analysing community-based research projects. The Qualitative Research Lead’s role will be multifaceted and include initiating and directing research activities as well as interacting with investigators, and stakeholders (including service providers, families, and youth), from various communities in Alberta.
The focus of this position is mainly to support the qualitative approaches of the research project and also require travel to community sites across the province.
