Description

QUALITY ADVOCACY ASSISTANT

£24,570 to £25,500 plus benefits (Work Level 6C)
Manchester city centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office around 2-3 days a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

IN LINE WITH THE INTERNAL MOBILITY POLICY, WE’D LIKE TO MAKE YOU AWARE THAT THERE IS A PREFERRED CANDIDATE WHO HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

We’re looking for a Quality Advocacy Assistant to join our Food Quality team and help us to make sure we’re providing our Co-op Food customers with the high quality and great tasting products that they love. If you can bring us great organisation skills, and a real passion for good food, then we can offer you the chance to learn new skills and gain incredible exposure with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.
In this role, you’ll support our quality testing coordinators by assisting in all aspects of product testing. We’ll look to you to help manage our quality triage system, so as a team, we can better understand our customer feedback and consistently improve the products our customers love. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to springboard your career in food retail and get an in-depth understanding of our quality testing processes.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Help to manage and maintain the quality triage system and proactively act on any customer feedback we receive
  • Help to create and embed a colleague communication channel, where the wider food quality team can receive and act on feedback from consumer comments
  • Work alongside a range of teams and colleagues, using the findings from consumer testing and feedback in reactive quality assurance testing
  • Raise the profile of the wider customer quality team internally within the Co-op
  • Create and be responsible for a newsletter providing the outcomes of consumer testing to the business and showcasing the wider team
  • Identify and take accountability for training needs within the team
  • Support the quality testing coordinators in all aspects of quality assessments in 1 Angel Square

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE

  • A background in food hygiene
  • Previous experience of food preparation
  • Strong administrative skills and the ability to manage your own workload
  • Good sensory skills and an appreciation of great quality food
  • An ambition of building a career in food retail
  • A full UK driving license with access to a car or the ability to easily travel to nearby stores
